What the bloody hell moments.
Saturday, January 22, 2011/ 12:13 AM

( via almonds-andraisins )
Everybody's getting old. I dun wanna be an adult yet. I hate birthdays. I wanna be young forever. I don't care about the gifts. I just wanna be young and not have birthdays. I wish April 4 won't ever come again.

I can't believe Geli  just turned eighteen. She's legal, she could be in jail if she ever does something stupid. What if I turn eighteen? And do some stupid things? I do stupid things a lot. I'd be in jail! Age would never be a reason for not being in jail. Cause I'd be legal. I don't like the idea. So not ideal. Just the thought of it makes me cringe manically. This is panic attack.

BREATHE. INHALE. EXHALE.
I still have two years. Two freakin' years. Three hundred sixty five days times two. That'd be more or less, 700 days, right? Would that be enough? Please let that be enough.

Last night was epic. We celebrated Geli's 18th Birthday. Everybody got drunk. Well not really everybody. Oh the pros of being in control. I'm glad I did not get drunk. Not even a sip.

On second and a slightly different thought, I dun think rejecting a drink is something cowardly. They say getting drunk means truths out. Fuck those who believe that crap. I can be true without getting drunk. I don't need alcohol to have fun. Alcohol is just an equipment. I can live without it. I can have fun without it.

I love you Geli. Though not in a Bromantic way, I mean it. I really love you. Happy 18th. Hope you really got surprised with our surprise. Love you bebe.

More details and pics on Geli's 18th soon.
I have two exams this week. Hist 1 and Envi Sci 10.
Better start getting into my studying kind of trance now.

Old photograph, new feeling, etc.
Sunday, January 16, 2011/ 1:08 AM

(L-R) Gia, Geli, Irish, Me

I just really love this pic. We were just talking and laughing and the pic came out very naturally. Ahhh those times. I miss Jana's photoshoots. We feel so comfortable working with her. Hope we can have one again after everything that's keeping us all busy right now gets done.

Too much schoolworks. They're killing me. I thought this was gonna be a Speech-free week cause the past week sure was one of those WHAT THE HELL WEEKS. But then I forgot how our Speech136 professor missed our class last meeting. That makes this week not SPEECH-FREE at all. TOO MUCH SPEECHES.

Enough about speeches. I just wanted to spazz about me being happy right now. Hehe. I like how I can  talk to him now. Even just those simple Hi's and Hello's. Glad I made it up to this stage (talking like this is some kind of a computer game or something). Now I'm starting to sound like a LEVELED-UP Fangirl. But yeah, that's what I am.

Guess everybody just has to deal with it.
Including myself.

Plus Dormitory Week's gonna be REALLLLL FUUNNNN. And I can't wait. Wooooo.

What made my Holidays soooo... HOLIDAY-ish. -- PART TWO.
Thursday, December 30, 2010/ 12:34 PM

Since it's really gettin' late and I seriously need to sleep now cause it's gonna be New Year's Eve later and I'd have lots of things to do, I'll make this post kind of like a PHOTOBLOGPOST.

These are Photos from GAWAD KALINGA's Christmas Gift-Giving Celebration last Dec. 18. And it really, NO DOUBT made my HOLIDAYS. Gawad Kalinga btw, is one of the Philippine's best Charity Foundations. We went to a Barangay and gave groceries and stuff and talked to the residents. <3 It really made me happy. Plus the fact that I went with sum of my fellow batchmates and upperclassmen. Yayy.

CHARITY WORK FOR CHRISTMAS = TOTALLY MADE MY HOLIDAYS.

What made my Holidays soooo... HOLIDAY-ish. -- PART ONE.
Monday, December 27, 2010/ 10:40 AM

So I already swore I'd blog everything that had happened while I was away from blogsphere.
I started with browsing over my Facebook photos... And found A LOT of them. Then I knew I'd be putting much effort on what I had just sworn upon. Cause it only meant one thing -- THERE WERE JUST TOO MANY, And I knew it will definitely not fit in a single post.

SO YEAH. Just in case the title doesn't make it obvious to you... I'm dividing everything into parts..
And I think I'll start with when I really felt CHRISTMAS-Y and stuff..

DORMITORY CHRISTMAS PARTY. -- DEC. 9, 2010
Christmas parties won't be Christmas parties without the oh-so-famous/infamous EXCHANGING GIFTS.. Oh you know.. Names written on papers.. Everybody picks one.. You spend at least [insertamounthere] for a gift you're supposed to "wholeheartedly" give to that someone whose name you've picked.. Feeling the spirit of Christmas BLAAAH BLAAHH BLAHHH. Yeah, that old boring stuff..

But surprisingly, I LOVED IT.. Just cause I was one of the few lucky people who's names have been randomly picked by people who were KNOWLEDGEABLE and SYMPATHETIC ENOUGH to not give MUGS, PICTURE FRAMES, ALARM CLOCKS, and PHOTO ALBUMS as Christmas gifts. The guy who got my name got me something from my WISHLIST.. And it really made me happy.. Plus knowing the fact that what I wrote on my wishlist were all VERY SPECIFIC STUFF. My wishlist read:

1. PEACE, LOVE && CHOCOLATES
2. Veronika Decides To Die (Book)
3. Elly (from Pocoyo) Stuffed toy.
4. One-month supply of POPTARTS.
See what I mean? They're all specific and dorky junks. How the heck would you get PEACE, LOVE & CHOCOLATES wrapped as a gift? Are you gonna spend about 300 bucks for a book as a gift for someone whose name you just RANDOMLY picked?? Why the heck would you buy a stuffed cartoon character who's not even LIKEABLE to people aging four years and above??? And where on this god-forsaken country would you find a ONE-MONTH supply of POPTARTS????

Get my point? Yeahh. But guess what he got me? Number freaking THREE, baby. He got me a PINK ELEPHANT toy really close to how Elly looks like. He found a freakin' pink stuffed elephant for me.. Duuudee, the effort.. on actually looking for one... I'm more than happy. That alone, made my HOLIDAYS sooo... HOLIDAY-ish. :]

Snapshots from the Dormitory Christmas Party: (**click image for full view)

PS. Photos are from Bembem.. They're all during the dancing part.. in the end part.. I don't normally go with a bunch of pictures during parties.. I just.. enjoy too much I forget to document it, Haha. And yeah, that PIG  in red, is me. I gained some serious POUNDS. :X
WATCH OUT FOR THE NEXT PARTS! :D

Last night I smiled. - DAY 21
Friday, November 26, 2010/ 12:12 AM

Seriously, I think I am slowly becoming USEFUL. You know that feeling when you realize you've been really busy and you feel like you always don't have enough time for this and that? Yea. I'm feeling it right now.

Not sure whether or not it's supposed to be a good thing though. I only know that I'm learning a lot from life. My feeling right this moment though, doesn't really coincide with what I've just blurted out. There are just too many stories. Too lazy to explain each of 'em. But at least I want you guys to have a gist of what's been happening to me lately (specifically the second semester). ON BULLETS. (Just like how dear UMI does it.)

• I got in SAMAKAKA, A Politiccal Org fighting against Women Oppression. Hyea. I'm making it official. I now am a part of Party Alliance.
• I'm starting a little business with some friends. It's called UNO (Unlimited Networking Opportunities), a networking company designed for ages like me and my friends. We're starting up an Organization inside the campus (SEEKERS). We call it SIDELINE but, oh well it's kinda, hard, but so much fun at the same time. Remember when I mentioned something about doing something useful? I think this is it. Yayy me. :D
• I've decided. I'm finally getting over him. Don't ask who. You know him.
• Hung out more lately. Never realized how fun it could be staying out of the dromitory late for dinner. Dun worry mum, I'm not breaking any rules.
•  November 23. A date people like me MUST NEVER EVER FORGET. Did candle-lighting with sum peeps. In commemoration of the Ampatuan Massacre last year, wherein about 30 ( YES, THIRTY ) innocent MEDIA PEOPLE were killed no mercy.
• We have one class together (Humanities 1). Not gonna elaborate on this, No-uh.
• Been preparing for DEC 10. Int'l Human Rights Day. It's world-wide, so, mark yer calendars now. Hee.
• Made another pub for our dormitory. It's for today's Olympics. wherein, by the way I'm gonna play Table tennis (wish me luck).

• NEWSFLASH. I'm giving the one who made me smile last night a chance. But I want him to observe the THREE MONTH RULE. I feel like it's a bit too early for us. I dun wanna make the same mistake.

-30 DAY CHALLENGE-
DAY 21 - A picture of something that makes you happy

It's pretty much SELF EXPLANATORY.
I just can't live without CHOCOLATES. YUUUUM.
Must-go-get-one-now. BUHBYE :]

I can be a beggar for one day. - DAY 17
Tuesday, November 2, 2010/ 5:11 PM

H U L L O   D E A R S.
PLEASE VISIT MY GRAPHIC SITE AT:

http://almonds-andraisins.blogspot.com/ [VISIT]

It's a book-inspired graphic site. From the one I'm currently reading: Maisie Mosco's Almonds and Raisins. Did not have sumthing yummy in mind to name my site so I just chose the book's title. Heee. You can apply as a maker. I'm inviting sum peeps to. Cause classes are gonna be back again and I couldn't be online as often as I've been going online for the past weeks. So I kinda need some help. Just contact me if you wanna be a part of it :D

-30 DAY CHALLENGE-
DAY 17 - Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why.

I can be a beggar for a day.
Not that I wanna BE ONE. No. I just feel like it. I wanna feel free, you know. Free-er than anyone else. Maybe it's because I love travelling a lot too. I've kinda been dreaming about living a nomadic life. Guess I just wanna feel like those beggars from Coelho's The Zahir. Esther would say that beggars were the only ones who never pretend to be happy. To this I quote a conversation between the main character, who was a best-selling writer and a bunch of beggars from the book from which I've learned a lot:

“Who are you? What kind of life is this? You’re healthy, you could work, but instead you
prefer to hang around doing nothing!
”
“We choose to stay outside, outside a world that is fast collapsing, outside people who
live in constant fear of losing something, who walk along the street as if everything was
fine, when, in fact, everything is bad, very bad indeed! Don’t you beg too? Don’t you ask
for alms from your boss to pay the owner of your apartment?
”
“Aren’t you ashamed to be wasting your life?” asks the woman in the purple coat.
“Who said I’m wasting my life? I do precisely what I want to do.”
The burly man interrupts, saying:
“And what is it you want? To live on top of the world? Who told you that the mountain is
necessarily better than the plain? You think we don’t know how to live, don’t you? Well,
your wife understood that we know exactly what we want from life. Do you know what
we want? Peace! Freedom! And not to be obliged to follow the latest fashions—we make
our own fashions here! We drink when we want to and sleep whenever we feel like it!
Not one person here chose slavery and we’re proud of it, even though you and people like
you may think we’re just a lot of pathetic freeloaders!
”

So yea. Guess that pretty much explains everything. I'm travelling back to Miami tomorrow for the second semester. Woooo. I feel nervous and excited as well.
But I think I'm ready for another bunch of (God forbid) terror professors, dirtbag-looking bluebooks, achievements and maybe humiliations too. Bring it on.

I want a target. - DAY 09
Sunday, October 24, 2010/ 4:46 AM

I am learning a lot from Paulo Coelho. And I mean it.
Maybe it's because this man is a real genius. He has his own language; one that people could really understand and relate with so easily. He speaks a general word.

I remember one part of his book The Zahir where he mentions about people who have plans in life. People who just blunder on, with no idea where their target is. They plan on getting married, having their own chilren, own riches in life - then they say they're satisfied. But are they, really? I mean, after they get everything they want, will they be able to experience true happiness?

I dunno. But what I know is, that I dun want to be like those people. I want to have a target. One that's hard to shoot but not too far. Not too far for me to shoot. I think I have a lot of time for shooting. Right now, it's all about the target. I have to focus on my target. Though I have no idea where I could find that target, I know I will find it soon. I will, I just have to look further and deeper. I'm gonna get it soon enough, I just know.

Meanwhile, I wanna enjoy life. I wanna take a break from being the avid listener. I am human. I do have my own problems to solve, own family to worry about, own books to read and lessons to learn. I have my own life to live. And I hope everybody understands that. I always understand; now I want to be understood.

Guess I'm gettin' really serious here. Hoooo. Don't mind me. I'm just playing with words. :p Anyway, here goes my challenge for today.

-30 DAY CHALLENGE-
DAY 09 - Something you’re proud of in the past few days.

ALL HAIL ME.
I am proud of myself. Simply that. Guess I've changed a lot since I got into college. Some of you may think bad about me, but believe it or not, I'm doing all of this for the better not only of myself but of everybody and everything, and that includes you and my country plus my family. I don't care what anybody thinks about me. I am being me. And I am fighting for what is right. It's about time to face the fact that altruism is not enough. We all have to do things by ourselves sometimes. We have our own problems to solve. We won't be able to solve them if we don't face it ourselves. Guess this school is making me braver by the time. I'm not saying I can do everything by myself though. As I've said, I am human. But right now, I'm making myself ready for mistakes I might commit; and I'll do my best to learn from them. Let me commit mistakes, and let me learn from them and correct them. I only have one shot in life and I'm making everything worthwhile. Bow.

A Dose of Home [♥]
Thursday, August 19, 2010/ 12:38 AM

Hello there. [♥]
So you may have dropped in to my blog and caught in the time when I had the " I am home!" mood in my header up there . Yea, I did go home and I had loads of fun there . I am in my Freshman year in a University and this is the first time I'm studying away from my family . So far, so good. I have a sister and four more brothers - they all lived together now, I'm the only one away so that kinda makes me feel jealous of them. I can pretty much say I am not used to being away from them. When I went back home, I met some friends again after a long time : Maxine, Kim, James, Fitz, JJ, Star, and Herman (He was so cute! He looked like a Korean when I saw him. I barely recognized him!) --because they ate in Chef Will's and I saw them in the Cafe next to it. But of course, I spent more time with my Family. I have been nostalgic lately and I felt like I needed to go home to be myself again. I realized that I needed a dose of HOME from time to time to be able to survive. So for survival purposes, I went home ! I went home with Feb, a very good friend and dorm mate of mine from BS Psychology. We lived in the same province so yeah.

CHEF WILL's [♥]. For most of my time there, I was at Chef Will's. I had to help Mom with all the stuff and I kinda felt really good cause all the serving stuff made me remember summer- when I was with my cousin Patrice and we were the ones incharge of keeping up our Aunt's Resto . Oh how I miss my cousin. Hope I see her soon.
Daughtz(Maxine) and I agreed to meet up during lunch time cause she had Choir Practice in the morning and since her and my (old)school was just near there, she dropped by, had lunch with a few more friends, and had a little chat with me and my Lil' sister. Maxine has been a part of the family now . She's always welcome and I feel like I am too in their house. I've been there a lot of times already and did a lot of crazy things with her too so I can say she's been a sister to me and a family to my family now. I  We just love her [♥].
1. After a long time of being away from each other, I finally had time with my Mom! I am so happy I saw her before August ended. Missing her Birthday was bad enough. I couldn't imagine myself missing her Birthmonth . My other brother's gonna have his Birthday on the 25th too! Too sad I'm not gonna be there. I love you Kuya John! [note: Kuya is older brother in our language.]
2. The three little sisters. Haha. You know, what really made me happy was that I knew we didn't have to go to the mall just to experience fun. We just sat there, talked and laughed together, and Poof!I felt completely Happy! [♥].
 3. I'm with my little sister after what seemed to be years! Forgive us for looking so gross . Maxine took this pic in the afternoon and it was sooo darn hot there . Notice how Alecx had her hair un-combed. Haha. And she kept on bombarding my phone again! She really loved one game Party Bubble Popper. Whenever I went home, she'd ask if she could borrow my cellphone and immediately browse through stuff and play the game. I even remember one time when I was about to leave, she was like, "Ate, don't delete my account in Party Bubble Popper, okay?!" So basically, she owned that game. [note: Ate is older sister in our language.]

Now that I'm back, I feel completely happy again. I have something really big behind me, always pushing me forward, making me do stuff for my good and the good of everybody: My Family and friends. I really love them and I feel like they're my Vitamins. They make me feel stronger everyday.
